About Torrent ZEN

Torrent ZEN is a live, meta search engine for BitTorrent files, which lets you search 18 Bit-Torrent search engines in real-time. This means that we don't cache old, stagnant data like other torrent search engines. Plus, we only search high quality BitTorrent sources. That is, Torrent ZEN doesn't search other meta search engines, we don't search defunct sites who disallow new users, and we don't search sites containing very little content.

Simply type your query into the search bar at the upper right and hit Enter. You'll instantly see paginated links appear in the search results table, sorted by seeds (descending). You can sort each column of this table in ascending or descending order by clicking on the column header. You can also separate torrent search results by category; just click on the category tabs above the search results table (e.g. All, Audio, Video, Software, and Other).

Once your torrent search has completed, you'll see the Filter Titles box appear on the right (below the Bookmark/Share links), which lets you narrow down the current search results. After creating a title filter, a new category tab named Filter will appear above the search results table.

Furthermore, clicking any of the 18 search engine icons will filter by search engine—once your torrent search is complete.

The best web browser to use for this site is Firefox 3+ ...by far. Other browsers such as Internet Explorer and older versions of Firefox are much slower when it comes to the AJAX used by Torrent ZEN.

About BitTorrent Technology

BitTorrent is a distributed file-sharing protocol, used by people, companies, and even musicians—all over the world. Using this site, you'll be able to download .torrent files from third party sites. Then you need a BitTorrent client program to open .torrent files and begin downloading the actual content you seek.

For example, let's say you search for "holy bible" and find a .torrent file named holy_bible.torrent from a third party site. This will be a rather small file that must be opened with a client program such as uTorrent or Transmission. That's when the peer-to-peer sharing of data begins. Here's where to find some recommended BitTorrent client programs: .
